Sometimes the weather makes problems for our canoe guests.
This summer has been very warm and dry but the last weeks we got some severe
rain several days with very little dry periods. This famely made a fine tour
bus mostly in rain, but they made it and came back to the right time after a
good tour but a bit wet. An Indian told me many years ago in Alaska when I came
to a camp, that “rain in the wilderness separate man from the boys”.
We have a large room “the Voyageur room” at the Base Camp where
we can light an open fire and have folks to sit in for coffee and the and some
snacks, dry out and be warm.
